About the Showcase


In 2023, more than 4,000 Artists applied to have their Artworks displayed on Times Square Billboards and in the rooftop Artists Village.

The NFT.NYC Community Artist Showcase will be returning to Times Square and Hudson Yards for its third year, in April 2024.

We have found more ways to share, support and display the works of selected Artists.

Selected Artists will receive:

  • Your work featured - Submit a previously minted piece to be featured on Times Square Billboards or throughout NFT.NYC in Hudson Yards.

  • A complimentary General Admission Artist Ticket to NFT.NYC 2024.

Artists may optionally also request to have their Artwork included on:

  • NFT Digital Twin Tickets
  • Artist Edition Merch
  • Physical and Digital NFT Postcards

Following an overwhelming community response, applications for both 2022 and 2023 were closed early. Early applications have a higher chance of being selected.

NFT.NYC reserves the right to have final discretion on all Artwork displayed as part of the Showcase.

FAQs

[fa icon="plus-square"]If I am selected, where will my Art be showcased?

Your Art will be showcased on Times Square Billboards or throughout the Javits Centre during NFT.NYC 2024 (April 3-5)

Artworks may also be displayed in a Virtual Gallery, and if requested by the Artist, on:

  • NFT Digital Twin Tickets
  • Artist Edition Merch
  • Physical and Digital NFT Postcards
[fa icon="plus-square"]If I am selected, when will I have to submit my minted Artwork by?

Artists will be informed by the last week of January 2024 if they have been selected for the Showcase.

Artists will be notified by end of March 2024 if their work has been selected to be displayed on Times Square Billboards.

Applicants will be selected based on the following criteria:

  1. Artists who have previously demonstrated thought leadership in the NFT Community
  2. Artists who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of NFTs
  3. Artists who represent the diversity of our NFT Community

[fa icon="plus-square"]If I am a selected artist, what are the artwork dimensions and requirements?
  • Accepted file types: .jpg, .png, .mp4 or .gif
  • All aspect ratios will be accepted, though some may be suited to specific screens.
  • Maximum file size: 20 MB
[fa icon="plus-square"]Do Artists maintain ownership of the Artwork if they are part of the Showcase?

Yes, Artists maintain ownership of their Artwork - NFT.NYC is displaying it to the Community.

If requested by the Artist, NFT.NYC may create a derivative of the original Artwork to be used as:

  • NFT Digital Twin Tickets
  • Artist Edition Merch
  • Physical and Digital NFT Postcards
[fa icon="plus-square"]Will NFT.NYC help me sell my Artwork?

Artists are free to sell their featured work outside of the Showcase and on some screens may have the option to display a QR code alongside their artwork, with a link to purchase the piece on a marketplace.
